Congressman Rehberg has an excellent editorial in today's Missoulian on the CHIP program.  Click here to take a look.

The same article appeared in the Helena IR, it's well written and well thought out, this SCHIP legislation is nothing more than a ploy by the democrats to make President Bush look like he supports war and not children. Nothing could be further from the truth, isn't it a shame that our lone representative is the only voice in D.C. for Montana who understands that.

This is a bad bill all around and little more than a very thinly veiled attempt to take another step in the direction of nationalized health care. I disagree with our good Representative on the following..."Before we begin expanding the program, we should encourage those who haven't already taken advantage of it to do so." So we should encourage families to take part in a federal program when they are currently paying their own way? Insert deep sigh...The pot belly porker called Congress continues to get fatter and fatter...

I read the article in the Helena IR and thought they should fire all of their reporters. Rehberg did a much better job as a reporter than anything I have seen in the IR in years.

You forgot the sub-headline... "and makes himself look like a jackass"

David - nice one. We normally don't tolerate profanity and name-calling on this site, but I'm going to leave your post up since it's such a good example of the type of commentary you Democrats have added to The Hardliner.
