A Throw Out: Daily News Digest

Here's a throw out to Secretary of State Brad Johnson. Every day Johnson's office puts together a collection of news stories related to politics and and civic affairs. The Daily News Digest covers a variety of newspapers from across Montana and several blogs.  From our perspective, it has been a proven useful tool to see how different reporters are framing stories. Johnson may want to be careful how he is using a taxpayer provided website to promote himself and any political agenda. One thing he might consider posting is his personal schedule like the other public officials do. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Yesterday on Berg, Montana GOP Chairman Iverson was touting Johnson for making public his Constituency Fund information, so how about his schedule too?

Johnson took the lead with disclosing his Constituency Fund, he should do the same with his schedule - Maybe then the Media will pick it up and force our dear Gov to do the same.

Sorry. We had to remove a comment that was as incorrect as it was scurrilous. If you're going to post comments on The Harliner, please be sure you have your facts straight.

Hey Carter, guess the truth hurts, before you jump on Johnson's bandwagon you better check the facts, and the fact is, Johnson is out of his office more than he's in it, so, where is he and what's he doing at the taxpayers expense? Posting his schedule would be quite helpful now wouldn't it, and before you start jumping on Linda McCullough for 'lackluster' you might want to check out the fact that Johnson has blown through the majority of his Executive staff in 3 short years and now working on the 2nd string, now that's what I call a lackluster trackrecord!
