Correction - There was no Hillary Fundraiser, the rest remains the same

Yesterday, The Hardliner quoted information from the MT GOP Ebrief regarding Gov. Schweitzer's attendance at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser.  That information turned out to be erroneous.

We apologize to our readers for spreading false information.  However, our main point remains the same - Governor Schweitzer's actions don't jive with his comments about the "stench" of Washington DC (where he was hobnobbing last week) and "drinking that whiskey and eating thick steaks" with political insiders (which we have to guess he was doing at the posh DC steak house BLT).

We admit our mistake, and we urge the MT GOP Ebrief to get its facts straight in the future - in other words, stop taking pages out of Jim Farrell's playbook.

What a tempest in a teapot! The way the Dems came out of the woodwork to counter-attack sure makes me wonder. If the governor is ever really in attendance at a Hillary fundraiser - or if the FEC reports ever show that any of the Sweitzer clan are contributing dollars to her campaign - his supporters will be absolutely apoplectic! Montana democrats know that the vast majority of Montana voters have no use for HRC and they are scared to death that BS will get way too close to her spotlight during the general campaign.

"or if the FEC reports ever show that any of the Schweitzer clan are contributing dollars to her campaign..."

you mean like sarah elliott - BS's comm director contributing $1000 to Hillary? Is that what you are refering to?

schweitzer is in bed with the clinton camp for sure. it's just a matter of our media reporting it. and by their reaction to this simple error - i think they realize how essential it is to BS for this dirty little secret to remain just that.

Hey, folks, I've been gone for a while. Internet service in Peru is not very accessible.
GOP e-brief really stepped in it. They took a comment that BS was "spotted" just like it was Britney Spears and then they make up a story about his attending a fund-raiser for Hillary. That's fine, GOP, if your ambition is to have as much credibility as a super market check-out line gossip rag. Otherwise, get your act together and stick to what you know. From what I hear around the entire state, there are enough people unhappy with the crazy things BS has done, you should dig into them and stop making up stuff that gets egg on your face.
